What it’s used for

It’s used in countless crochet projects, including blankets, scarves, sweaters, shawls, and many decorative stitch patterns.

Crochet Chart Symbol

1. Yarn over
2. Insert hook in 4th chain from the hook and pull through the loop of the chain. You must have 3 loops in your hook.
3. Yarn over and pull through the 2 loops. Now, you must have 2 loops in your hook.
4. Yarn over and pull through the last 2 loops.

Repeat across to the end. Chain 3 and turn your work.

Note:

The 3 chains worked at the beginning of the row counts as the first double crochet of the row.
